Accessibility
PoseCall is built so that models, professors and administrators can use it with a keyboard, a screen reader, screen magnification, or a phone. This statement covers both of our services, PoseCall and Accompanist Call, which share the same design and are tested the same way.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we design to WCAG 2.2 Level AA where we can.
What we do
- Every control has a text label and works from the keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Results such as “booked” or “just taken” are announced to screen readers.
- Status is always given in words, never by color alone, and text meets AA contrast in light and dark themes.
- Pages reflow to a narrow phone screen without sideways scrolling, and text can be enlarged.
- There are no time limits on completing a booking or answering a request.
How we test
Every screen is checked with automated accessibility tests (axe-core, WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 Level A and AA rules) in light and dark themes at desktop and phone widths. Automated tests find only some barriers, so a full review by keyboard and with screen readers comes next, before we publish our Accessibility Conformance Report (VPAT) for schools. Email us to ask where it stands.
Tell us about a problem
If something in PoseCall is hard or impossible for you to use, email scheduler@posecall.com. Tell us the page and what happened, and the browser and any assistive technology you use. We will reply and work on a fix.If you need to book or cancel a session in the meantime, your school’s administrator can do it for you.
